TollNode

Terms of Service

Last updated 8 November 2026

1. Who we are

TollNode is operated by Story Glider Limited (C 114108), The Watercourse, Central Business District - Zone 2, Mdina Road, CBD 2010, Malta ("we", "us"). By sending a request to a TollNode endpoint or using this website, you ("you", including any agent acting for you) agree to these terms. If you use TollNode for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it.

2. The service

TollNode provides pay-per-call access to data and AI tools ("nodes") over HTTP. Nodes are powered by third-party providers and may change, be paused or be withdrawn at any time. We aim for high availability but give no guarantee of uptime, speed or that a particular node stays available.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use TollNode.

TollNode is designed for businesses, developers and their software agents. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection law where you live still applies and nothing in these terms limits it.

Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers): each call is digital content or a digital service supplied immediately on request. By sending a paid request you ask us to perform it straight away and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the call has been performed. Failed calls are never charged.

3. Prices and payment

Each node's price is shown on its page and quoted in the HTTP 402 response before you pay. Where an option (such as resolution or quality) changes the price, the quote reflects the option in your request. You pay the amount you sign for.

Payment is made in USDC on the Base network using the x402 protocol. We collect a payment only after the node returns a usable result; if a call fails, returns nothing or times out, the payment is not collected. Collected payments are blockchain transactions and are final. You are responsible for your own wallet, network fees and taxes.

You are responsible for sending funds on the correct network. We cannot recover funds sent to the wrong network or address.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use TollNode to create, request or distribute content that is illegal, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, content that infringes others' rights (including copyright, trademark, privacy and likeness), defamation, harassment, or content intended to deceive people (for example impersonating a real person's voice or likeness without consent, or election misinformation).

You must not use TollNode to break any law, attempt to break, overload or bypass our systems or payment checks, misrepresent the service, or violate the usage policies of the underlying model providers.

We may refuse, pause or block any request or wallet that we reasonably believe breaks these terms, and may report illegal activity to the authorities.

5. Your inputs and outputs

You keep any rights you have in what you send us, and you confirm you have the right to send it (for example, images you ask us to edit). Subject to these terms and the law, we don't claim ownership of the outputs you receive.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, offensive, or similar to other people's content, and the same request can produce different results. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and for how you use them. Data results (such as search results or vehicle data) come from third-party sources and may be incomplete or out of date; they are not professional, legal or safety advice.

We store requests, outputs and payment records as described in our Privacy Policy, including to keep an audit trail.

6. AI-generated content

Image, audio and similar outputs are generated by AI models. Responses mark them as AI-generated ("aiGenerated": true), and we don't remove watermarks or provenance data that the underlying models embed. If you publish AI-generated content that could be mistaken for real (for example a realistic image or voice of a person), you are responsible for disclosing that it is AI-generated where the law requires it, including under the EU AI Act.

7. Sanctions and export controls

You may not use TollNode if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region subject to comprehensive EU, UK or US sanctions, or if you or your wallet are listed on a sanctions list (including the OFAC SDN list and EU and UK consolidated lists). We block such regions and listed wallets and may refuse any request we reasonably believe would breach sanctions or export-control law.

8. Reporting illegal content and copyright

If you believe content generated or stored through TollNode is illegal or infringes your rights (including copyright), report it through our reporting page. We review notices promptly, act on valid ones, and inform the person concerned where the law requires. This is our notice-and-action process under the EU Digital Services Act and our designated contact for copyright notices.

9. No warranty

TollNode is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to TollNode is limited to the amount you paid us for the calls giving rise to the claim in the 30 days before it arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your inputs, your use of outputs, or your breach of these terms or the law.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from its date to calls made after that date. Prices may change at any time, but never after you have been quoted for a call.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. The courts of Malta have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Contact hello@tollnode.com first; most issues can be solved by email.
