Quick setup for humans and agents
- 1. Fund an x402 wallet with a little USDC on Base. AgentCash (above), Coinbase Wallet or any x402 client works. One dollar covers hundreds of calls.
- 2. Call the endpoint. The first response is HTTP 402 with the exact price.
- 3. Your wallet signs and retries. TollNode runs the node and collects the quoted price only if the result is usable.

- from $0.029 in USDC on Base, per successful call, depending on resolution (1k: $0.034, 2k: $0.069, 4k: $0.411, 1.5k: $0.049, 768sq: $0.029). No sign-up, subscription or API key.
- What happens if the call fails?
- You are not charged. TollNode checks your signed payment first, runs the node, and only collects the payment if the result is usable. A failed, empty or timed-out call is never settled, so there is nothing to refund.
- How does an AI agent pay?
- With x402. The first request returns HTTP 402 and the exact price. Any x402 wallet signs the USDC payment and retries automatically. In Claude Code or Cursor, run npx agentcash add https://tollnode.com once.
